YOUNGSTOWN -- Beatitude House will hold its third annual Cornerstone Dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Maronite Center

The annual event honors major donors as well as the accomplishments of the women and children who are participants in Beatitude House programs. Children will receive recognition for school attendance, academic improvement and personal growth. Women will receive awards for obtaining a driver's license, maintaining employment and moving into permanent housing, as well as for program attendance, education, personal growth and ongoing achievement.

In addition, Sharmilla Craig, a graduate of Beatitude House transitional housing program, will be honored with the third annual Sister Margaret Scheetz Achievement Award. Sharmilla, a mother of two, plans to graduate this year with a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and pursue a career in social work.

Jackie Allen, a graduate of the Beatitude House education and career preparation program and a student at YSU, will receive the Ambassador Award for her willingness and ability to talk to others in the community about Beatitude House.
