At its meeting Wednesday, Youngstown City Council:
Authorized the board of control to enter into a professional services agreement with Strouss Building Associates to manage and maintain the Phar-Mor Centre.
Expressed support for the military members from the Mahoning Valley deployed overseas.
Honored the 90th anniversary of the Rotary Club of Youngstown.
Authorized the board of control to enter into an agreement to buy six police cars, costing $123,000 total, through the state purchasing program.
Appropriated $46,141 for the continuation of the city health department's sexually transmitted disease clinic program, with $41,141 coming from the Ohio Department of Health and the rest of the money from program income.
Authorized the board of control to advertise for bids for the purchase of traffic marking paint for its 2005 pavement marking program, and to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder.
