Police seek information on missing man

AUSTINTOWN -- Police are looking for information about a South Raccoon Road man who was reported missing last month.

The sister of Chad Clinkscale, 33, told police she last saw her brother the evening of Jan. 27 at his apartment as he was getting ready to go out for the evening. The woman filed the police report Jan. 30 and Clinkscale hasn't made contact with her since, according to police.

Clinkscale's car was found this week in a field on Nelson Avenue in Youngstown and is being held by police.

Anyone with information about Clinkscale should call Detective Sgt. John Myers at (330) 799-9721.

Wreck kills Hermitage man; other driver treated

SHARON, Pa. -- A Hermitage man died Monday afternoon after he drove his pickup truck through a red light on East Conley Boulevard at South Sharpsville Avenue and crashed into a car driven by an Austintown woman, said Sharon Police Chief Tom Burke.

Stanley Susinski, 69, of Crawford Drive, Hermitage, was traveling west on East Conley about 3:40 p.m. when his truck hit a car turning onto Conley that was driven by Lisa Johnson, 34, of Sunshine Avenue, Burke said. Johnson was taken to Sharon Regional Hospital.

Susinski's pickup veered into a tractor-trailer in the intersection, the chief said. The trucker was not injured. Burke said Hermitage police, Mercer County Southwest Regional Police and Pennsylvania State Police assisted at the scene.

Hot line official to speak at block watch meeting

YOUNGSTOWN -- Cathy Grizinski, associate executive director at Help Hotline Crisis Center, will be the speaker at the Buckeye Eyes & amp; Ears Blockwatch meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The meeting will be at Word of Grace Church, 2724 Mount Vernon. Refreshments will be served.

Principal to address monthly coalition meeting

YOUNGSTOWN -- Melvin Lars, principal of Woodrow Wilson High School, will speak at the 7th Ward Coalition monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church, 1970 Everett Ave.

Recreation center to offer tutoring, homework help

WARREN -- Minor Ministry Recreational Center, 1717 Youngstown Road, will have a grand opening from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday. A reception will be held and an overview of planned activities will be given.

Starting Monday, the center will be open weekdays from 2 to 8 p.m., featuring a game room, homework assistance and private tutoring in reading, writing, math and Bible classes. The center also will assist older children with speakers on various topics such as life choices, education, work and the criminal justice system.

Children whose family income falls below poverty level can attend for free; a donation will be requested of others. For more information, (330) 544-4903 or (330) 544-2255.

Driver uninjured when propane tanker overturns

WELLSVILLE -- A 2-mile stretch of state Route 45 was shut down for nearly two hours Tuesday afternoon after a propane tanker truck overturned.

The truck driver, James Durst, 53, of East Liverpool, was not injured, authorities said. The wreck occurred when Durst, heading south on Route 45, attempted to make a left turn about 12:25 p.m. at Township Line Road. The truck overturned while making the turn, and Route 45 was closed from Osborn Road in Madison Township to Mick Road in Yellow Creek Township, roughly two miles north of Wellsville.
