AREA COLLEGES St. Vincent cruises to 89-76 victory over Geneva as Washam scores 33

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Tony Washam and Kenny Roberts combined for 26 consecutive points at one stretch of the second half, leading St. Vincent to an 89-76 win over Geneva in an American Mideast Conference North men's basketball game Tuesday night.
Washam finished with a game-high 33 points for the Bearcats (22-4, 13-0), while Roberts had 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Jeff Mallory had 14 points.
Geneva (17-11, 7-6) was led by Tim Sawyer with 19 points, while Kyle McDermott scored 12 and Greg McDivitt had 10.
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Raelynn Miles had team-highs of scored 14 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, leading Allegheny to a 78-52 victory over Hiram in a North Coast Athletic Conference game.
Courtney Steding added 13 points and five assists for the Gators (18-6, 10-5). Meghan Vasilisin also scored 13 points.
Hiram (8-16, 2-13) was led by Allison Davis with 13 points. Tania Carman added eight points and 13 rebounds.
Geneva 63, St. Vincent 51
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Geneva evened its record at 13-13 behind Ashley Bean's 16 points.
Jen Rawding added nine points and 12 rebounds for the Golden Tornadoes (8-8 AMC North), while Allyson Clarke had eight points and 10 rebounds. Rawding and Ali Cananzi had four assists apiece.
Sarah Rockwell led St. Vincent (10-18, 10-7) with 20 points, while Kristin Myers added 11.
