Total days of lockout: 149Total days of season missed: 122Games lost Friday: 0Total games missed: 824 of the 1,230 regular-season games, plus the 2005 All-Star gameDeadline: The NHL told the players' association on Wednesday that a deal would have to be reached by this weekend in order for there to be a season.Negotiations: The NHL and players' association broke off talks Thursday in Toronto after two days of meetings, leaving little hope a deal would be reached in time to save the season. Neither side said it was preparing to reach out to the other or make any new offers in the near future.Friday's best canceled games: The NHL was set to start its four-day All-Star break, but the festivities scheduled for this weekend in Atlanta were canceled on Nov. 3.
