A look at the NHL lockout through Thursday, Feb. 10:

Total days of lockout: 148Total days of season missed: 121Games lost Thursday: 11Total games missed: 824 of the 1,230 regular-season games plus the 2005 All-Star game.Deadline: The NHL told the players' association on Wednesday that a deal would have to be reached by this weekend in order for there to be a season.Negotiations: The NHL and players' association broke off talks Thursday in Toronto after two days of meetings, leaving little hope that a deal would be reached in time to save the season. Neither side said it was preparing to reach out to the other or make any new offers in the near future.Thursday's best canceled games: A nearly full slate of games that would have ushered the league into the All-Star break were wiped out on the day the season appeared to be lost completely.
