YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Christian boys basketball team made nine of 11 free throws in overtime Monday to secure a 62-60 victory over Ashtabula SJP.
Stephen Setnick scored 16 points to lead Youngstown Christian (9-9 overall, 5-3 in the East Suburban Conference), which played the overtime period with three players on the bench because they fouled out.
With the scored tied 49-49 entering overtime, Youngstown Christian outscored Ashtabula SJP 13-11 and withstood three 3-pointers by Ashtabula SJP.
Jared VanArsdale had 14 points and seven rebounds for Youngstown Christian. Aaron Agresta had 13 points and four steals.
Shenango 85, Wilmington 82
NEW CASTLE -- Shenango hit 15 3-pointers, with Steve McNees leading the way with 23 points and 14 assists in a win over Wilmington.
Shawn DeJohn had 19 and Ryan Grafton added 15 for Shenango (18-5).
Wilmington was led by Gary Hanssen and Marcus Gilland who had 14 each. Dave Cameron added 13 for Wilmington (10-14).
