Recent criminal activity in Liberty:
Theft: A Warren woman reported a man in his 20s entered her room at the American Inn, 1610 Motor Inn Drive, and removed $75 from a dresser.
Theft: A customer drove away from a Shell True North station, 3990 Belmont Ave., without paying for $15 worth of gasoline.
Burglary: A man returned to his residence in the 3000 block of Northgate Avenue and saw that a rear door had been pried open. A Sony PlayStation 2 game system and a PlayStation controller were taken.
Criminal damaging: A woman called police after someone used a vehicle to drive over a portion of her lawn in the 400 block of East Liberty Street, causing $500 in damage.
Theft: Police arrested two 15-year-old Girard girls after a 50-pack of recordable compact discs valued at $20 was stolen from Rite Aid Pharmacy, 2704 Belmont Ave.
Criminal damaging/menacing: A Youngstown woman reported a Youngstown man, 46, kicked the door to her room at the American Inn, causing $75 in damage, and threatened her.
Burglary: A man in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue discovered someone broke a lock to his storage closet inside his apartment building's laundry room and removed a $150 acoustic guitar.
Breaking and entering: A woman called police after a suspicious vehicle with two people inside backed up to a garage at a residence in the 2400 block of Tibbets-Wick Road. She said one of the men, in his late 20s or early 30s, removed a 12-inch miter saw and an air compressor, each valued at $300.
Burglary: A man reported someone entered the front door to his apartment in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue, likely with a key, before taking 80 pills.
Criminal damaging: A Liberty Township employee discovered someone did about $1,000 worth of lawn damage at Church Hill Park on Belmont Avenue, likely by riding an all-terrain vehicle in the area.
Arrest: Police arrested a 31-year-old Youngstown woman at the Mahoning County jail after finding out she was wanted on a warrant from Liberty charging her with one count of robbery.
Arrest: After running a registration check on a vehicle and determining it had been stolen in Youngstown, police arrested a Girard man, 30, near Granada and Belmont avenues. He faced a charge of receiving stolen property (auto) as well as nine counts of driving under suspension.
Drugs: After stopping a driver for failing to signal before turning, officers arrested a 44-year-old Youngstown man near Belmont and Trumbull avenues. He was charged with driving under suspension and drug abuse after officers say they found two bags containing suspected marijuana in his pants pocket.
