CANTON -- Terry Vidale and Jerome Jones had 16 points apiece as the Ursuline High boys basketball team defeated Central Catholic 63-44 Saturday.
Carey Palermo added 15 for Ursuline (13-3), while Central Catholic (9-8) was led by Mitch Anderson's 16 points and eight boards. Fred Harold scored 13 for Central Catholic.
Palermo had 23 points to lead the Irish.
Perry 44, Boardman 38
PERRY TWP. -- Boardman (6-12) got 12 points from Nick Ludhan, but it wasn't enough as Perry won by six points on Saturday.
Jason Patton led Perry (7-9) with 11 points at home in the Federal League Tournament.
Perry advances to face Austintown Fitch on Tuesday.
Warren JFK 58, Campbell 54
WARREN -- John F. Kennedy High bounced back from a Friday night defeat by Cardinal Mooney with a win over Campbell on Saturday.
Joe Cicchillo scored 16 points to lead Kennedy (8-7) over the nonconference opponent. Marc Rossi and Stephon Flanagan were also in double digits, 15 and 11 points respectively.
Tony Elzy pulled down 12 rebounds for the Kennedy.
Wellsville 56, Sandy Valley 50
WELLSVILLE -- Wellsville's Josh Congrove had 18 points to lead the Tigers to the nonconference win Saturday.
The Cardinals were led by Jake Cayton's 19 points.
West Branch 47, Carrollton 29
BELOIT -- Tori Arndt scored a game-high 18 points as West Branch topped Carrollton in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference Saturday.
Stacy Braden added 12 points for West Branch.
Samantha Jones topped Carrollton with 11 points.
