Aniston, Pitt: still split?

LOS ANGELES -- Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston seem to be redefining the phrase "amicable split." Barely a month after announcing their separation, they're still sporting their wedding rings and spending quality time together, reports MSN.com. So what gives? The Daily Mirror of London reported last week that Aniston asked comedian Ali G to vacate the two-bedroom, 2,500-square-foot Hollywood Hills home he's been renting from her, ostensibly so she can move out of the $18 million, 11,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion she shares with Pitt. But Aniston's rep tells the New York Daily News that the eviction report is bogus and that she and Brad continue to live together. "Jennifer is not planning to move back into her home that is leased out to Ali G," he tells the paper. Meanwhile, on Jan. 26, Pitt and Aniston were seen snuggling up during a three-hour candlelight dinner at the Los Angeles restaurant L'Orangerie. "Brad and Jennifer came in giggling and holding hands," said one source. "Over dinner, they were whispering and chatting quite intimately. They couldn't keep their hands off each other." But Aniston's spokesman says they simply shared a meal and "nothing has changed" regarding their separation.

Another Banderas dance

LOS ANGELES -- "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" gunslinger Antonio Banderas is dusting off his dancing shoes to star in a biopic about Pierre Dulane. According to Noticine.com, "Take the Lead" will chronicle the life of Dulane, who started teaching dance in a New York public school and created a new dance style with his students. Banderas, whose latest credits include "Imagining Argentina" and the voice of Puss in Boots in "Shrek 2," is no stranger to the dance world. In "Evita," he showed the world his signature moves. Banderas will also star in "Legend of Zorro," the sequel to 1998's "The Mask of Zorro," alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones. Filming for "Take the Lead" is scheduled to begin in April in Toronto.

LOS ANGELES -- David James Elliott is ending his "JAG" service after a decade. Elliott, who plays military attorney Cmdr. Harmon "Harm" Rabb Jr., will leave the CBS series when it concludes its 10th season in May, the network said Friday. With his "JAG" deal ending this year, Elliott signed a series development deal with ABC and Touchstone Television.

Arnaz, wife sell estate

LOS ANGELES -- Desi Arnaz Jr., son of actress Lucille Ball and bandleader, actor and producer Desi Arnaz, has sold his Beverly Hills home of 30 years for about $1.7 million. The house, which Ball had helped her son find, has four bedrooms and 31/2 bathrooms. Arnaz and his dance-instructor wife, Amy, live in Boulder City, Nev., where they own the Boulder City Ballet Company and run the nonprofit Boulder City Theater Company. He appeared in his parents' series, "I Love Lucy," soon after he was born in 1953.

Gandolfini romance over

NEW YORK -- James Gandolfini's lover, Lora Somoza, has confirmed she has called off the couple's engagement and left the actor's New York home to care for her sick grandmother, reports IMDB.com. "There was no vicious bust-up," she said. "Of course there were tears, but we are still friends." The couple started dating in 2000 after "The Sopranos" star split from his wife, Marcy. They were engaged early last year.
