WARREN -- Celebration is the theme for the second annual Trumbull Area Artist Art Show Feb. 25 to April 2 at Trumbull Art Gallery.

Trumbull Area Artist is a group of artists working to unite our local artist community through communication and an annual exhibit. There are no meetings -- no officers, no board of directors -- just artists, sharing information through a monthly newsletter.

The selection of awards will be by Cathy Welner, an artist and art teacher from the Akron and Cleveland area for over 20 years and has conducted workshops nationally and internationally, including a recent workshop in Italy. Her works have been featured in galleries in New York, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, and Ohio. Cathy's works are included in many private and corporate collections.

A "Meet the Judge" luncheon is being held at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Mocha House. Welner will present a slide show lecture and also comment on the TAA art show. For more information, call TAG at (330) 395-4876. Advance reservations required.

Awards will be presented at the show opening reception on Feb. 25. The show opens to the public Feb. 26. Gallery hours are noon-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It's located at 196/198 E. Market St.
