GIRLS DISTRICT ROUNDUP Nero sets Lowellville record

McDonald's Ashleigh Tondo surpassed 1,000 career points.

NORTH LIMA -- Amanda Nero scored 32 points and became Lowellville High's all-time leading scorer as the Rockets defeated South Range 51-45 in a girls Inter-County League basketball game on Thursday.

The Rockets (15-2, 10-0) clinched at least a tie for the ICL title with two games remaining.

Nero now has 1,719 points for her career.

Heather Stacy scored 16 points to lead South Range (8-11, 5-6).

Springfield 57, McDonald 48

NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Ashleigh Tondo scored 21 points for McDonald, surpassing 1,000 for her career.

Tondo now has 1,004 points.

McDonald is 10-7 overall and 6-4 in the ICL.

Springfield (14-4, 9-2) was led by Lindsay Johnson, who had team-highs of 13 points, 15 rebounds and five steals.

Angelina Fiumara added 13 points for the Tigers, while Chelsea Quimby and Samantha Cavalier had 10 points apiece.

Jackson-Milton 41,Western Reserve 33

NORTH JACKSON -- Jackson-Milton improved to 7-11 overall and 2-8 in the ICL.

Western Reserve is 5-12, 4-9.

No details from this game were reported by either school.

Southern 59, Wilson 51

YOUNGSTOWN -- Seairra Grim scored 24 points for Southern.

Emily Ramsey added 18 points for the Indians (2-16), who outscored Wilson 29-5 in the fourth quarter.

Kesha Letlo scored 12 points for Wilson (2-18), while Depree Bloxson had 11 points and eight steals.

Campbell 37,Youngstown Christian 33

CAMPBELL -- Maria Rohan scored 14 points to lead Campbell to its third win.

Sophia Brown added 13 points for the Red Devils (3-15), who outscored Youngstown Christian 14-5 in the fourth quarter.

Rachel Coristin scored nine points for the Eagles (7-10).

Sharon 61, Greenville 43

SHARON -- Brittany Csatlos scored 28 points to lead Sharon.

Csatlos also had 10 rebounds, 10 assists and seven steals for the Tigers (17-4).

Nikki Odom added 10 points for Sharon.

Greenville is 15-4.
