Kaye also won the 2003 Buick Classic.Notes: Top-ranked Vijay Singh, the 1995 and 2003 winner, is making his fourth start of the year. He won the Sony Open in Hawaii three weeks ago. ... Former Arizona State star Phil Mickelson won the 1996 event in a memorable playoff with Justin Leonard. ... Mark Calcavecchia won in 2001, shooting 65-60-64-67 for a 256 total -- a tour record that was broken by Tommy Armour III in the 2003 Texas Open. Calcavecchia also won in 1989 and 1992. ... Spain's Jose Marie Olazabal is making his first start of the year. ... Leonard and Joe Ogilvie are in the field. ... Kaye finished second to Stuart Appleby in the season-opening Mercedes Championships. ... Els opened with a career-best 60.
