BOARDMAN -- Police arrested a Southern Boulevard man, charging him with a burglary at a New England Boulevard home last weekend.
Brenton Jones, 21, was charged Thursday with felony burglary and misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct.
The resident of a New England Boulevard home reported confronting a burglar in her home Saturday afternoon. He had entered through an unlocked front door and fled through a back door after the woman confronted him. Nothing was reported missing.
The investigation led police to Jones, who was arrested at a Maple Drive address. Police said Jones ran and then struggled with officers when he was arrested.
Also, a 35-year-old Youngstown man reported his wallet stolen at gunpoint.
The man told police that he was walking Thursday afternoon from a Stadium Drive restaurant to the mall when a man in a car pointed a handgun at him, demanding his wallet.
The man tossed his wallet into the car, and the robber drove north on Market Street.
