3 Austintown teens charged with arson

Published: Sat, August 27, 2005 @ 12:00 a.m.

GREEN TOWNSHIP -- Three Austintown teenagers have been arrested in a house fire on Middletown Road. Goshen Police said the three, a girl and two boys, all 17, were arrested Thursday and Friday. They were not identified.

The three were in the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center on Friday, police said. They are charged with vandalism and arson.

State fire marshal's investigator Chuck Hanni said the house that burned Wednesday around 5:20 p.m. was vacant, and there were no injuries.

He said the second floor of the house burned and collapsed into the first floor. He said he sent evidence of suspected arson to the fire marshal's lab in Reynoldsburg.
