XNEW GALILEE, Pa. -- To celebrate the 40th wedding anniversary of their parents, the children of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Werner, 379 state Route 168, have planned an open reception to be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 4 at Moravia Presbyterian Church in Wampum, Pa., where the couple are members.
Hosts for the event will be Todd and Amy Werner of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Ryan Werner and Whitney Werner, both of New Galilee. There are three grandchildren in the family.
The former Linda Belton and Mr. Werner were married Sept. 18, 1965, at the church in Wampum.
Mrs. Werner, a graduate of Youngstown State and Akron universities, is the director of home-health care for Ellwood City Hospital. She also serves on Mohawk Area School Board.
Mr. Werner attended YSU and is a semiretired dairy farmer and also does excavating work.
They are both members of Darlington Area Historical Society.
