55-PLUSLIBERTY

XMary Eck will preside when Liberty 55-Plus Seniors meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Rocco Church hall in Liberty. Hostesses will be Mary Jane Schultz and Lucy Vitello. Birthdays will be acknowledged, and there will be cards and a 50-50 drawing.

Illnesses are to be reported to Eleanor Fortunato.

55-PLUS CLUB

MINERAL RIDGE

X55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will hold a corn roast at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. Members are to take items they have signed up for, and hostesses will take desserts.

AARP 4545

XBoardman South Chapter 4545, AARP, will meet at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 1 at the Holiday Inn South, McKay Court, Boardman, with Elmer Haidle presiding. The menu will be rib steak or baked scrod for $12.50 each. Reservations are to be made by Aug. 25 by sending a check with choice of entree to Helen Day, 543 W. Glenn Drive, Boardman, OH 44512, or call (330) 782-2816. A program, "Sound of Music" will be presented by Pete Rukinbrod and Jay DeePandner. Anniversaries and birthdays will be observed. BROWNLEE WOODS

XBrownlee Woods Seniors will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Community United Church of Christ, corner of Sheridan and Midlothian Boulevard, for crafts and cards. New members are welcome. Those attending are to take a sack lunch; tea and coffee will be provided.

CMHS 1947

XCampbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny's in Boardman.

CAMPBELL

XThe executive committee of Campbell Senior Citizens will hold a board meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Tandy Apartments in Campbell.

Trips planned for the group include three wineries in Pennsylvania on Sept. 13 and to Pittsburgh on Nov. 12 to see Radio City Music Hall's Rockettes. Call Lucy Hames at (330) 746-7355 for reservations or information.

COITSVILLE

XCoitsville Seniors will have a picnic at 1 p.m. Thursday at Willow Ranch on Hubbard Road.

CROATIAN PENSIONERS

XCroatian Pensioners of Mahoning Valley will meet at noon Thursday at Lodge 66 Croatian Home on Vestal Road. Cards and board games will be played.

Sept. 10 is the deadline for making reservations for the fall fest to be held Sept. 15. Checks are to be made payable to Croatian Pensioners and mailed to Veronica Fabanish, 1822 Elm Trace, Austintown, Ohio 44515-4802. For more information call her at (330) 799-0270.

DOLLAR BANK

XDollar Bank Retirees will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday for a picnic at Boardman Park. Lunch will be at noon and a magician will provide entertainment.

XGirard OldTimers Club will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mahoning Country Club.

HAPPY WANDERERS

XA program on medical alert systems will be presented when Happy Wanderers meet Friday at Corner House Christian Church. Those whose last names begin with A to L are asked to take a dozen cookies. The hospitality committee will be Frank and Gerda Mitrovich, Dick and Pat Osberg, and Charles and Norene Geiger. Greeters are Irene DeStasio, Elyn Summers, Betty and Frank Toman, and Toots Giblin.

Members will leave at 7 a.m. Aug. 25 for a mystery tour with a coffee stop at 8 a.m. Reservations are being accepted for a Columbus tour on Sept. 22, mystery tour on Oct. 14 and a Christmas music spectacular on Dec. 10. For additional information call (330) 534-2759.

HOLY FAMILY

XA meeting of Holy Family Seniors will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Poland. There will be a 50-50 drawing, cards and bingo, and pizza and dessert will be served. Hosts will be Ida and Al Miller. Canned goods and paper products are being accepted for Poland Food Pantry.

Alice Chizmar, Ginnie Miller and Ann Tumpak will give reports, birthdays will be observed, and drawings will be held.

KEENAGERSNORTH JACKSON

XNorth Jackson Keenagers will have a picnic at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Liberty Park in North Jackson. Cost for guests is $3.

LOCAL 1199

XLocal 1199 Retirees will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at union hall. A guest speaker will address problems faced by the elderly.

MARTHA LUPSE

XBridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Jean Waters will lead devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation.
