Family holds picnic for Starks' 50th anniversary
XCANFIELD -- A picnic was held July 10 at the Saxon Club Pavilion, Youngstown, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stark, 4200 Canfield Road, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Arrangements for the event were made by their children, Diane Stark of Jefferson City, Mo., and Cheryl and Charles Lindeman of Rowlett, Texas, and the couple's two grandchildren.
The former Nancy Gilmore and Mr. Stark were married June 4, 1955, at Delason Avenue Methodist Church in Youngstown. They are members of Lockwood United Methodist Church in Boardman.
Mrs. Stark is an office assistant with Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown, a member of Miriam Circle at the church, and past president of Suburban Garden Club.
Mr. Stark served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He retired in 1982 as a combustion engineer with Republic Steel Corp. in Youngstown and Warren and in 1999 from B & amp;I Management Inc., Youngstown, where he was in inventory control. He is a member of the Saxon Club, Mahoning Valley Olde Car Club, Amvets Post 44, Republic Steel Retirees Club, W.O.K.R. Car Club and Plymouth Car Club.
