DO IT THIS WAY: Mineh Ishida and Jessica Waskin show the crowd how it's done at Cedars Cafe in Youngstown. On swing nights, the diverse crowd ranges from college-age patrons to senior citizens, and beginners to experts.

UNDER THE SPOTLIGHT: Duane and Lisa Pitzer practice their swing moves before the crowd arrives. On swing nights at Cedars, the dance floor is usually crowded until closing.

NOSTALGIA: Many dancers wear attire from the swing era.
