She played love interests for Noah Wylie's character on 'ER' and Matt LeBlanc's character on 'Joey.'
Madchen Amick, last seen beguiling Matt LeBlanc in Los Angeles and John Stamos in New York, is headed to a different sitcom locale, with a different leading man.
The former "Twin Peaks" star has joined the cast of ABC's new comedy "Freddie," which stars Freddie Prinze Jr. as a Chicago chef whose life is overrun by the women in his family. Amick will play Allison, his flaky sister-in-law.
She replaces "Grounded for Life" star Megyn Price, who played the part in the pilot.
Amick became something of an overnight success story thanks to "Twin Peaks," which was her first major acting role. She went on to star in the Stephen King movie "Sleepwalkers" and CBS' short-lived "Central Park West."
More recently, she's had recurring parts on "Gilmore Girls" and "ER," where she played a love interest for Noah Wyle's character. Also last season, she appeared in two episodes of Stamos' "Jake in Progress" and had a recurring role on NBC's "Joey" as Sara, a photographer who nearly moved in with Joey (LeBlanc) before leaving him.
"Freddie" is scheduled to air at 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays this fall.
