Marine Corps League to have 26th reunion
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Tri-State Detachment of the Marine Corps League will have its 26th annual reunion from 6 p.m. to midnight Aug. 20 at ITAM Post 3, 115 S. Meridian Road.
Lt. Col. Michael H. Brown will be the featured speaker. The Washington, D.C., native is a 17-year veteran of the Marine Corps.
He has served in every enlisted rank, and has been deployed to various Marine units throughout the United States and overseas. Currently he is inspector and instructor to 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment.
His personal decorations include the Defense/Meritorious Service Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Combat Action Ribbon. He is married to the former Ellen Rogers of Virginia, and they have two sons.
There will be a memorial service, buffet dinner, historical displays, ships store, raffle and door prizes.
All Marines, former Marines, spouses and friends and invited to attend.
