XTAMPA, Fla. -- Katy Johnson and Justin Acerra, both of 181 Northwest Blvd., Columbus, were married during a 6 p.m. ceremony that took place July 9 at The Rusty Pelican, where a reception was held afterward.
The bride is a daughter of Polly Johnson, 35 E. Wilson Ave., Girard, and Bill Johnson, 2122 Robins Ave., Niles, who officiated at the wedding.
Parents of the groom are Joe and Sandy Acerra, 936 Lincoln Ave., Girard.
Wearing azalea and raspberry gowns were the honor attendants, Mandie Brookbank of Girard and Erin Hood of Cleveland, and the bridesmaids, Colleen Ogan of Warren and the groom's sister, Haldre Rafferty of Girard.
The duties of best man were shared by Carl West of Columbus and Nick Cappuzzello of Los Angeles. Serving as groomsmen were Dylan Acerra of Cleveland, the groom's cousin, and Brian Rafferty of Girard, his brother-in-law.
The couple live in Columbus.
A graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in communications, the bride is an application support specialist with eInformatics in Columbus.
The groom graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's degree in biology and is a chemist with Roxane Laboratories in Columbus.
