XYOUNGSTOWN -- Ocho Rios, Jamaica, was the honeymoon destination of Patrick Henry Serani and his bride, the former Dr. Amanda Beth Zapko, following their marriage July 9 at St. Christine Church.
Monsignor David Rhodes officiated at the 2 p.m. wedding, and a reception was held afterward at A La Cart Catering in Canfield.
The couple live at 11192 E. 24th Place, Yuma, Ariz.
Parents of the bride are Richard and Karen Zapko, 1395 Windel Way, Boardman, and the groom is a son of Dale and Carol Serani, 601 Sterling Lane, South Elgin, Ill.
Fashioned of white satin and enhanced with pearls, crystals and embroidery, the bride's gown featured cap sleeves and an A-line skirt.
Pale-pink gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Stephanie Easton, and the bridesmaids, Courtney Mapes and Moira Pyle.
Jeffrey Serani served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Daniel Zapko, brother of the bride, and Jacob Abraham. Ring bearers were Gordon and Jake Goodwin, and junior ushers were Nicholas, Eric and Andrew Downing, cousins of the groom.
The bride graduated from St. Louis University with a bachelor's degree, a master's degree and a doctorate in physical therapy. She is a physical therapist with Health South Rehabilitation Hospital in Yuma.
The groom is a test director with the Department of Defense at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Grounds in Arizona. He graduated from St. Louis University Parks College with a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering.
