XYOUNGSTOWN -- Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church was the setting at 3 p.m. July 2 for the wedding of Cheryl Traylor and George W. Cowan III, both of 110 Kendis Circle.
The Rev. Lewis Macklin II officiated for the daughter of Lucille Bebbs, 307 S. Jackson St., and son of Carrie Pope, 848 Manistique, Detroit. After a reception at St. Lucy Banquet Center in Campbell, the couple left for Aruba.
Beading enhanced the bride's fluted gown of ivory Italian satin.
The bride's daughter, Ashley Jones, was the honor attendant wearing a silver gown. Periwinkle gowns were worn by the bridesmaids, Ronnie Hunter, the bride's cousin, and Cynthia Blevins, Francine Morgan, Jessica DuBose, Robin Bradley, Dorothy Collins and Karen Pope, the groom's sister. The groom's daughter, Breauna Bishop, and Lynnea Mims were junior bridesmaids, and Daria Williams was flower girl.
The duties of best man were performed by James Pacley, and groomsmen were James Albaugh; Dan Bray; Rick Hunter, the bride's cousin; David Pope, the groom's brother; John Pope and David Taylor, his nephews; and Lewis Wesley, the bride's brother. The groom's sons, Dorian Cowan and Brandon Bishop, were junior groomsmen. Kevin Coleman and Robert Jones were ushers, and Malik Johnson, the bride's cousin, was ring bearer.
The bride is an account clerk in the Youngstown State University Athletic Department. The groom is an aircraft maintenance technician with Continental Express Airlines in Cleveland.
