Bond set for suspect in double shooting

Published: Tue, August 9, 2005 @ 12:00 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Bond was set Monday in municipal court at $150,000 for Kevin A. Traylor, 32, of Park Drive, Campbell, on charges of attempted murder and felonious assault.

Traylor is accused in the July 18 shootings of Coya Evans, 20, of Tampa Avenue and John Houser, 20, of Hillman Street.

Evans, who was shot in the head, remained in critical condition Monday in St. Elizabeth Health Center. Houser was treated at the hospital last month.

The shooting took place in the 500 block of Myrtle Avenue in what police have described as an argument over stolen property, possibly a car stereo system.
