XBOARDMAN -- Bryan Thomas Gough, 3130 Beall St., Warren, and his bride, the former Karen Leslie Prater, 5632 Breezewood Lake Drive, Brookfield, honeymooned at the Oasis Resort in Cancun, Mexico, after their marriage at 1:30 p.m. July 8 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
Robert Noble of Struthers presided, and afterward the couple accepted congratulations during a reception held at The Georgetown. The couple live in Cortland.
Parents of the bride are Kermit Prater of the Breezewood Lake Drive address and the late Patricia Prater. The groom's parents are Thomas and Nancy Gough, 83 Iroquois St., Struthers.
Beads, sequins and Swarovski crystals enhanced the bride's white, strapless ball gown fashioned with a circular skirt.
Black satin gowns were worn by Candace Candor, the honor attendant and sister of the bride, and the bridesmaids, Pamela Iarussi, also her sister, and Sarah Keso and Allison Laine.
The groom's brother, Justin Gough, was best man, and groomsmen were Rusty Mikulas, Ron DiBacco and Mike Aey. Keary Iarussi, nephew of the bride, was an usher, and A.J. Iarussi, also her nephew, was ring bearer.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education at Hiram University and a master's in art of teaching at Marygrove College. She is a sixth-grade teacher for Jefferson Area Schools. The groom, a graduate of Grove City College with a bachelor's in accounting, is assistant auditor for the state of Ohio.
