VISITORS BUREAU Other business

Published: Fri, August 5, 2005 @ 12:00 a.m.

The Mahoning County Convention & amp; Visitors Bureau board also handled these matters Thursday:

Agreed to pay $8,487 to Olfield Graphics of Austintown to print 100,000 brochures highlighting the county's attractions, said Suzanne Heino, CVB administrator. That will be done once the board and Mahoning County Lodging Council members have a chance to make any last-minute changes to the brochure and the board gets a toll-free number.

Promised it would take up the issue of getting billboard space promoting the county and Youngstown and getting information on the board's Web site at its next meeting in about two weeks.

Heard from Mahoning County Commissioner John A. McNally IV that efforts continue to work out a settlement with the Youngstown/Mahoning County CVB, which commissioners defunded in 2003.
