LIBERTY -- Two township residents face misdemeanor and felony charges after being accused of assaulting a township man in his Green Acres Drive apartment.
Roy D. Williams, 18, of Colonial Drive is charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery. Tiffany Renee Dukes, 26, Green Acres Drive, is charged with felonious assault, aggravated robbery and failure to appear on a warrant.
Police reports list another man in the attacks, but he has not yet been arrested. According to the reports, Williams, Dukes and another man went to the Green Acres Drive home of a 42-year-old man Wednesday and forced their way into the apartment. Reports say the trio accused the man of being a "snitch" for police.
The men, reports say, beat the resident with metal crutches while Dukes searched the man's apartment for money. At some point during the attack, bleach was poured into the man's eyes and over his body, reports said.
Police reports say officers were told by emergency room doctors that the man may be permanently blinded in one eye.
Williams and Dukes were arrested a short time after the attack on Green Acres Drive.
