1418 AUXILIARY

XMembers of 1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Aug. 11 at The Oak View in Struthers for their annual picnic. Henry Testa will preside, birthdays and anniversaries will be honored, and games will be played. Reservations or cancellations are due Monday by calling (330) 788-9430.

The tour hostess will distribute seating for the Paul Anka show at Mountaineer and collect for the trip to Seneca. Seats are still available for the Greektown casino trip Nov. 9. For more information call Ellen Testa at (330) 788-9430.

1418 RETIREES

XThe executive board of 1418 Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at the hall in Struthers, where a general meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

AARP 3105

XStruthers Chapter 3105, AARP, will meet at 11 a.m. Aug. 17 at The Embassy in Youngstown with Harold Milligan presiding. Cost is $9, and reservations are due Wednesday with LaVerne Cox, 241 E. Manor Ave., Struthers, OH 44471. New members are welcome.

BROWNLEE WOODS

XBrownlee Woods Senior Citizens will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Community United Church of Christ, corner of Sheridan Road and Midlothian Boulevard, for crafts and cards. Members should take a sack lunch; tea and coffee will be furnished. New members are welcome.

GIRARD

XGirard Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Following the business meeting, a musical program will be presented by 10-year-old vocalist Egini Martini. Reservations will be taken for the corn roast to be held Aug. 24. Cost is $5. Members are asked to take canned goods or paper products for Emmanuel Center.

GOLDEN PILLARS

XGolden Pillars will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mary Assumption Social Center. Eleanor Hnat will preside, birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and bingo and cards will be played. Members should take their own table service. There will be no 11 a.m. liturgy.

J.C. PENNEY

XJ.C. Penney Retirees will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Nancy's Place on Shady Run Road.

LIBERTY

XA meeting of Liberty Senior Citizens will be held Wednesday at Church Hill United Methodist Church with Wilda Clifton presiding. Members are asked to take a salad to share; beverages will be provided. Hostesses will be Marie Tahos, Edith Thornton, Evelyn Proudfoot and Ella Hoagland. Games will be played.

LOCAL 64

XLocal 64 Retirees will meet at noon Wednesday at Boardman Township Park.

MARTHA LUPSE

XBridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Annabelle Borovitcky will lead devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. ST. ANTHONY

XSt. Anthony Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at DeMarinis Hall. A luncheon will be served afterward by Charlotte DeMarinis, Florence Karg, Livia DelBoccio, Lucille DeRamo and Eva Battafrano. A raffle will be conducted by Sam Lavanty and Steve Sebastian. Call Tony Valley, (330) 759-1333, for information on a day trip Thursday to Fallsview Casino, Niagara Falls, Canada.

ST. BRENDAN

XSt. Brendan 60-Plus Seniors will meet at noon Monday in Maxwell Hall. Ann Smith will preside, and Ann Banyots and Verna Dues will give reports. The lunch will cost $5.

ST. CASIMIR

XJoAnn Jones will preside when St. Casey Seniors meet at noon Tuesday in the church social hall. Cakes will be provided by Ruth Monus and Stella Quinn, and the luncheon committee will be Sophie Hoffman and Stella Quinn. Birthdays will be acknowledged, and there will be a 50-50 raffle and bingo. New members are welcome.

ST. DOMINIC

XSt. Dominic Senior Citizens will meet at noon Aug. 16 at Nancy's Place on Shady Run Road for cards and bingo. Ann Lattro will preside, and there will be election of officers and nominations from the floor. Reservations or cancellations should be made by Wednesday by calling Sara Calderone at (330) 757-1517. Ellen Famularo will collect $5 for dues, and Ellen Testa will collect for the Oct. 12 Seneca-Allegheny trip. New members and guests are welcome.

ST. ROSE

XSt. Rose Senior Parishioners will hold a corn and wiener roast at noon Thursday at the church hall. Those attending will be asked to contribute $2 toward the cost of the food.

SAXON

XA meeting of the Saxon Retirees will be held at noon Thursday at the ballroom on Meridian Road. The cost of the pork chop dinner is $7. Reservations or cancellations are due Sunday evening by calling Maria Boehm, (330) 782-2908, or Marie Teutsch, (330) 799-5383.

SEARS FRIENDSHIP

XSears Men Retirees will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Yankee Kitchen in Boardman.
