ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. -- A 39-year-old Ellwood City man was killed Tuesday evening when his vehicle crossed over the road on state Route 288 in Wayne Township and collided with a oncoming vehicle.
Patrick McKelvey, of 532 Line Ave., was traveling westbound on state Route 288 and traveled off the right side of the road before losing control of the vehicle and sliding into the path of oncoming traffic, according to reports.
The driver of a Dodge Durango traveling eastbound attempted to swerve but struck McKelvey's Chevrolet Lumina.
The driver, Jeanne Hardy, 41, of Portersville, Pa., was wearing her seat belt, but McKelvey was not, according to reports. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.
Hardy was treated at Ellwood City Hospital.
