GIRARD Two men to appear in area court for unrelated indecency charges

HUBBARD -- Two men will soon appear in Girard court charged with public indecency in Hubbard.
No court date has been set for Arlis E. Hoover, 35, of 660 Dorchester Drive, who is charged with two misdemeanor counts of public indecency. He was arraigned Tuesday.
According to Detective Sgt. Robert J. Altier, Hoover is believed to have driven to a local car wash July 27 where he took pictures of two juvenile girls. Altier said Hoover's pants were down around his ankles and he was exposed while taking the picture.
Hoover was arrested a short time later. The ages of the girls was not released.
In the other case, Curtis E. Survance, 49, 1080 Wilshire Drive, Amherst, Ohio, will be arraigned at 9 a.m. Aug. 23 in Girard Court. He is charged with one misdemeanor charge of public indecency.
According to Altier, Survance entered a Family Dollar store on Main Street at 5:30 p.m. July 15 not wearing any pants or underpants.
Altier said Survance later said that he spilled gasoline on his pants and had removed them before going to buy new ones at the Family Dollar store.
Altier said these incidents are no cause for alarm.
"I think this is just a couple of isolated incidents," he said. "Neither of these guys are sexual predators or anything."
