Second-half real estate taxes due Friday

Published: Wed, August 3, 2005 @ 12:00 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mahoning County Treasurer John B. Reardon reminds taxpayers that second-half real estate taxes are due by Friday. All payments must be postmarked by Friday to avoid a penalty charge.

Tax bills may be paid at the treasurer's office in the county courthouse, 120 Market St., between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Reardon added that these area bank branches also accept tax payments on behalf of the treasurer's office: Second National Bank, Cortland Banks, National City Bank, Seven Seventeen Credit Union and Sky Bank.

Questions regarding tax payments should be directed to the treasurer's office at (330) 740-2460.
