Aniston avoids saying anything bad about Pitt
LONG ISLAND NEWSDAY
Jennifer Aniston doesn't badmouth soon-to-be-ex Brad Pitt in the September issue of Vanity Fair, but she looks "stabbed ... in the heart," cries for several minutes and can't talk about a rumor that Pitt's new flame, Angelina Jolie, may be pregnant with his child.
Of his posing for a 60-page photo spread in W magazine with Jolie as husband and wife, she says, "There's a sensitivity chip that's missing."
She angrily denies reports that they broke up because she didn't want children. And as for seeing photos in April of Pitt, Jolie and Jolie's son in Kenya -- the first public view of the affair -- she says, "The world was shocked, and I was shocked."
Aniston maintains in the interview with Leslie Bennetts, her first since the split, that she still accepts his word that he didn't cheat before their January separation: "I choose to believe my husband." Pitt and Jolie met while filming "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" a year earlier.
"I love Brad; I really love him," she says in the article, which hits newsstands in New York and Los Angeles today and nationally next Tuesday.
She said it has been "cathartic" when, at her Malibu retreat, she would "go to the water's edge and scream."
