Published: Tue, August 2, 2005 @ 12:00 a.m.

CAMPBELL -- Police found a gun listed as stolen in Austintown after arresting a Youngstown man who had fled when they attempted to stop him Sunday evening for driving with loud music.

William Fowler III, 25, of Manhattan Avenue, will appear in Campbell Municipal Court today on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, loud and disturbing noises and having an open container of liquor in the car.

Police said Fowler refused to pull over on 12th Street and was later stopped on Hyatt Avenue.

He also refused to exit his vehicle, and officers used force to pull him out of the car and handcuff him, according to reports.

Police said they found a .40-caliber handgun, a loaded magazine and an open container of liquor while searching the vehicle.

Police learned later that the gun had been reported stolen in Austintown.
