The Youngstown Board of Control took the following action Thursday:
Approved two change-order reductions to the downtown arena, totaling $126,586, and three change order additions to the facility, totaling $100,661. The savings is $25,925.
Approved the purchase of four pickup trucks and five mini-cargo vans from Valley Ford in Cleveland for $107,564 for the water department.
Approved the purchase of two mini pickup trucks from Bob Ross of Centerville for the public works department for $19,432, and the purchase of two 2.5-ton regular cab pickup trucks for no more than $24,000 for the department through state purchasing.
Approved an agreement to pay $100,000 to Mahoning County for its lead-based paint hazard control program.
Approved a consulting agreement with ES & amp;C International LLC for no more than $24,925. The Youngstown company is to perform a preliminary engineering study to determine the cause of severe flooding in the Kensington and Logan avenues area, and to make recommendations to remedy the situation.
