ASSOCIATIONS

XBoardman-Canfield Branch of American Association of University Women will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park. A catered dinner will be served, and the program will be "Ohio Presidents' Wives," presented by the Salem Historical Society Women. Guests are welcome. For more information call (330)758-6976.

XMcDonald Baseball Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

AUXILIARIES

XFlora MacDonald Auxiliary members will meet at 1 p.m. May 7 at the home of Marjorie Briggs.

XGirard Knights of Columbus Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the. K. of C. Hall, 122 S. State St.

XITAM Post 3 Auxiliary will have a mother and daughter banquet May 14. A short business meeting at 6 p.m. will be followed by dinner at 6:30. Reservations are due May 6; call Diane Endress at (330) 793-5213.

XSalvation Army Women's Auxiliary of Mahoning County will hold its final meeting of the year at noon Tuesday at the Glenwood Avenue Citadel. Kathleen Bentley, divisional women's auxiliary secretary, will be a guest, and new officers will be installed. Call (330) 746-8403 to make a reservation.

XVFW 7538 Auxiliary will have its next meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at 375 Maplewood St., Struthers.

BOOSTERS

XGirard Band Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school cafeteria.

XMcDonald Music Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in Room 103 at the high school.

CLASSES

CLUBS

XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will have a luncheon meeting at noon Wednesday at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles. The program will be "Tea Time Trivia and Social Graces" by Bonnie Summers. Hostesses will be Eloise Ogram and Jeannette Kline.

XPoland Center Homemakers will meet for a casserole luncheon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Poland United Methodist Church. There will be a straw hat craft project and plant exchange. Serving as hostesses will be Jo Amendolea, Rose Mary Berger and Sophie Yash.

FRATERNAL GROUPS

XGirard K. of C. Council 2935 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the K. of C. Hall, 122 S. State St.

POLITICAL CLUBS

XWarren Republican Women's Club will have its monthly meeting at noon Thursday at the Warren Women's Club, 708 N. Park Ave., Warren. Guest speaker will be Dorothy Ginther, president of the Ohio Federation. Membership is open to all Trumbull County women. Guests are welcome with reservations. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

XThe Youth Ministry at Antioch Baptist Church, 110 Funston St., Youngstown, will be holding a Mother's Day tea from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7. Yvette Walker, associate minister at Elizabeth Baptist Church, will speak on setting priorities. Afterward there will be a luncheon in Ward Fellowship Hall and a fashion show titled, "Bridging the Gap in the New Millennium -- Church Attire." A freewill offering will be taken.

XCatholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Anne 1875, will meet Monday after the noon Mass in Founder's Hall at Holy Name of Jesus Church. Luncheon hostesses will be Ann Tumpak and Mary Ann Barto.

XDestiny International Ministries of Boardman is sponsoring a family and friends skating party from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at The Skate Connection in Boardman. Admission is free for all members, their families and friends. Skate rental is $2.25 for regular skates and $3.25 for in-line or speed skates, or anyone can bring their own. Nonskaters are welcome. XFirst Presbyterian Women of First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown will hold an all-daughters banquet at 6 p.m. May 6 at the church, corner of Wick Avenue and Wood Street. Cost is $6, and the program will be presented by the Daughters of the King.

XHoly Name of Jesus Ladies Guild will meet at noon Tuesday in Founder's Hall. A catered lunch will be served.

XImmaculate Heart of Mary Altar and Rosary Society will hold a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Monsignor Prokop Parish Center. Election of officers will be held, and hostesses will be Jean MacLochan and Helen Diana. An installation banquet will be held May 9. XSt. Michael Altar Guild will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Michael Church, 350 N. Broad St., Canfield, to install the officers for the coming year. Deacon Tom Soich will conduct the installation, and dinner will be held in the parish hall.

XSt. Rose Altar Society will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the church basement hall. The program will be the May crowning.

XSt. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.

XSeton III will meet Thursday at A La Cart in Canfield. A social at 6:30 p.m. will precede dinner at 7. Installation of officers will be held.

SERVICE CLUBS

XGirard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Scenna's Family Restaurant, 1901 N. State St.

XGirard-Liberty Rotary will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Armando's Restaurant, 3807 Belmont Ave., Liberty.

SINGLES

XDARE, a social group for divorced, widowed or separated people, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Boardman Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. Other activities include: Monday and Tuesday, dance lessons with Judy Conti at 7 p.m. at Wedgewood Plaza, cost is $5; Wednesday, walking in Mill Creek Park, meet at Dr. Shah's parking lot at 6:30 p.m.; Thursday, a new-member meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the church; May 6, a movie at Movies 8 in Boardman, meet in the lobby at 6:30 p.m.; May 7, outing to Mark's Landing with fishing at 2 p.m., boating at 4 and dinner at 6; and May 8, dance at Choices in Liberty, cost is $3 for members and $4 for nonmembers. SOCIETIES

XAmerican Society of Women Accountants, Youngstown Chapter, will hold its monthly meeting May 18 at Timberlanes restaurant in Salem. The cost is $18 for members and $20 for nonmembers and includes dinner. Reservations are required by May 13. Registration begins at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Tim Clymer of EdwardJones will be the guest speaker. His presentation, "Current Climate for Investors," will qualify for one hour of continuing education credit.
