ASSOCIATIONS

XO-My-O Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will hold its monthly meeting Thursday at Roosevelt Park. The event will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. followed by a potluck dinner. Members should take a covered dish. The speaker's topic will be "Getting Organized," and members with perfect attendance will be recognized. Anyone interested in attending should call Darlene Stellmar at (330) 755-3807 by noon Monday.

XWilliam Penn Association Branch 28 of Youngstown will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Eat'n Park in Boardman to discuss upcoming events.

XYoungstown Music Teachers Association will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Ursuline Center, Shields Road, Canfield. The afternoon will begin with a piano recital by Dr. Jacek Sobieski, organist and pianist at St. Charles Church in Boardman. A social hour and brief business meeting with Dorothy Schwers presiding will follow. The public is invited.

ATHLETIC GROUPS

XGirard High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.

XMcDonald Sideliners will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Blue Devil Room at the high school.

CLUBS

XAmerican Hungarian Club, Donald Avenue, Youngstown, will hold a business meeting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Discussion of the stuffed cabbage roll sale May 6 and trash and treasure flea market June 4 will be on the agenda. Donations for the sale are being accepted; call (330) 792-3731. The next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. May 23; members are asked to note the new time.

XCasa Savoia will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ground Round to plan its spring luncheon with guests in May. Call Jean Simpson or Louise Diorio to make reservations.

XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at Canfield Presbyterian Church for a noon luncheon, meeting and Founders Day program. Hostesses will be Barbara Jaster and Martha Sulik.

XMcDonald Arts and Crafts Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

XNewcomers Club will hold its monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Olive Garden in Boardman. Members will order from the menu. The program will be a discussion on women and acupuncture. Reservations are due by Wednesday; call (330) 533-3510. Guests are welcome.

XOhio Cultural Alliance will meet at 6 p.m. May 2 at Grand Buffet, 7690 Market St., Boardman. The topic will be "The Immigrant Experience: From the Asian World to the Mahoning Valley." Speaker will be Dr. Y.T. Chiu. Cost is $11 for paid-up members and $16 for nonmembers. Mail reservation form and check payable to the organization to OCA, P.O. 561, Canfield, OH 44406 by April 27.

FRATERNAL GROUPS

XCroatian Fraternal Lodge No. 598 will meet at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

XMcDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.

GUILDS

XHolborn Herb Growers Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for garden clean-up at Boardman Park. Members should take their own garden tools, gloves and trash bags. Hostesses will be Claudia DiRienzo, Monica Parkhurst, Marsha Paden and Sallie Lepore.

LEAGUES

XThe Junior Women's League of Canfield will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Fair Park. Guest speaker will be local auctioneer Dave Dangerfield, who will appraise members' antiques and collectibles. For membership information call (330) 533-1503.

XLeague of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown and North Side Citizens Coalition will hold a candidates forum at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Stambaugh Auditorium in the downstairs ballroom. Barbara Brothers from League of Women Voters will moderate, and Joe Bell of WKBN Channel 27 and Bill Lawson, director of Mahoning Valley Historical Society, will be panelists. All candidates for contested offices in the Youngstown primary election have been invited.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

XYoungstown Council of Catholic Nurses will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnny's, 876 E. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown. The speaker will be John Hughes, outreach critical care manager with HMHP, discussing Mobile Intensive Care and Stat Medevac.

XYoungstown Diocesan Council of Catholic Women will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. William Parish, 5431 Mahoning Ave., Champion, with Ann Marie Morley presiding. XGirard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Scenna's Family Restaurant, 1901 N. State St.

XRoger Cram, director of special projects and community relations at Hiram College, will be the luncheon speaker during a meeting of Warren Kiwanis Club at noon Thursday in the downstairs banquet room at the Mocha House, High Street, Warren.
