SCOPE Howland Senior Center, 8273 High St. N.E., Warren, will have a spring dinner-dance April 13 featuring Ed Vallus Band. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and a buffet will be served at 6:30 followed by dancing from 7:30 to 9:30. Cost is $10 per person. Reservations are required; seating is limited to 65. The garden club will meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon April 14 for a garden party featuring teas, growing, brewing, history and etiquette. A slide presentation on the Aug. 8-15 fly-bus excursion to Washington, Oregon and San Francisco will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. April 14. Cost of the trip is $1,849 for double occupancy.
