Playhouse production will bring art alive
The fun-filled evening will start with a benefit party.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Arts Alive II, a benefit party and performance to celebrate the renaissance season and 80th anniversary of the Youngstown Playhouse, will be held there on April 30.
The evening will get under way at 6:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and silent and Chinese auctions. The performance will begin at 8 p.m., in the auditorium, where a cast of local television and radio celebrities, politicians and Playhouse performers will bring famous paintings to life through song, dance and comedy on the main stage.
Narration will be provided by Dr. Lou Zona and Sis Soller. Musical director is Mike Moritz.
Performers will be David Bedell, George Beshara, Bob Black, Jennifer Brindidis, Stena Buck, Connie Cassidy, Dennis Colla, Sen. Mark Dann, Susan DeLeo, Matthew DiBattiste, Atty. Anthony Donofrio, Chris Fidram, Pete Gabriel, Jason Green, Niki Jones, Johnny Kay, Gloria Katula, Lynn Kirkwood, Bob Kozar, Mary Ann Manginini, Rita Maricone, Eric McClellan, James McClellan, Debra Melvin, Sen. Harry Meshel, Tony Romeo, Terry Shears, Chuck Simon, Sis Soller, Glenn Stevens, Paula Strobel and Janeen Williams.
Tickets are $70 for Orchestra A, $50 for Orchestra B and $30 for Orchestra C. Seating is according to price areas, and all but $20 is tax-deductible.
