'Forget-Me-Not' gala focuses on the future
The black-tie event will feature a tribute to retired Judge Robert Lisotto.
BOARDMAN -- Plans are being finalized for the Greater East Ohio Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association's "Forget-Me-Not" spring gala to be held April 16 at Antone's Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St.
The event will pay tribute to retired Judge Robert G. Lisotto for his contributions to the community as well as his commitment to Alzheimer's awareness since stepping down from the bench of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court following his diagnosis with the disease. The theme reflects the judge's positive outlook toward his own illness as well as his optimism regarding the advancement of Alzheimer's research.
The black-tie event will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. followed by dinner. Also featured will be the tribute to Lisotto, a time capsule dedication, a diamond dig, silent auction and dancing.
Serving as the evening's master of ceremonies will be Scott Kennedy, morning show host of Y-103.
