Unemployment rate in Pa.
SHARON, Pa. -- November brought a slight drop in the unemployment rate in Mercer County, but Lawrence County's rate remained unchanged from October.
The Pennsylvania Department of Labor said Mercer's jobless rate dropped from 4.6 percent in October to 4.5 percent in November. The number of people working actually declined from 55,400 to 55,000, but that was offset by a decline in the total labor force from 58,000 to 57,600.
In Lawrence County, there were 300 more jobs in November as compared with October, but the jobless rate remained at 5.4 percent.
Broadband Hospitalityto provide Internet access
BOARDMAN -- Alliance Hospitality has selected Boardman-based Broadband Hospitality to provided wired and wireless high-speed Internet access at eight hotels in Ohio and Kentucky. Alliance Hospitality, which operates 21 hotels and is based in Lewis Center, Ohio, is the first hotel operator to choose Broadband Hospitality's new Valu-Pak-24, which provides service in 24 rooms instead of the entire hotel.
