Used inkjet, toner cartridges sought

Camp Fire USA Northeast Ohio Council has recycled more than 300 inkjet and toner cartridges through a collaboration with US Recycling.
"We are pleased with our initial results," said Camp Fire's chief executive Barbara Smith.
"Part of our focus is environmental education so this service is a good fit for our agency. The few dollars we get for recycling goes into our environmental education school programs," she said. "We are pleased with the companies large and small who have donated their empty cartridges to us."
Camp Fire USA Northeast Ohio Council provides outreach, environmental and self reliance programs to youths 2 to 18 and their families.
Counties within the council's jurisdiction are Ashland, Ashtabula, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Holmes, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Summit, Trumbull, Wayne and parts of Stark.
This project will continue throughout 2005. Anyone with empty inkjet or toner cartridges to donate can contact the Camp Fire office at (330) 533-4121 or Ohio toll free at (888) 533-4426 to arrange for pick-up.
