GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP Holland's big game powers Rayen victory

The senior scored 30 points and grabbed 21 rebounds against Warren Harding.
WARREN -- Senior Taniesha Holland finished with 30 points 21 rebounds, six steals and five assists, leading The Rayen School to a 66-56 victory over Warren Harding High in a girls basketball game Thursday night.
Senior Rilonda Neal scored 19 points with nine rebounds for the Tigers (3-1), while freshman Brittany Taylor had six rebounds and five steals. Junior Danielle Liggens added nine rebounds and sophomore Kenysha Tennant had six rebounds and four steals.
Warren Harding was led by Desirae Jenkins with 19 points. She also had seven rebounds. Adrianne Battee added 14 points, while Janine McDonald had 11 points and Kacie Wooding had eight rebounds.
Chaney 45, Struthers 31
YOUNGSTOWN -- Courtney Williams recorded a triple-double for Chaney (1-2), finishing with 15 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. Williams is a senior guard-forward.
Kayla Griffin scored 10 points for Chaney, while Nicole Artis had 19 rebounds.
Liz Valerio scored 14 points for Struthers (0-3).
Boardman 71, Hubbard 25
BOARDMAN -- April Melquist scored 21 points to lead Boardman to its second win in three games.
Jessica Moore added 17 points for the Spartans, who led 36-17 at halftime, while Courtney Schiffauer scored 10 points.
Sheila Drummond scored 11 points to lead Hubbard.
Mooney 59, Springfield 38
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Amber Bodrick led Mooney (1-1) with 27 points, and she pulled down eight rebounds.
Gina Brunetti scored 10 points for the Cardinals, and Kacie Kubik had five assists.
Angelina Fiumara had 10 points to lead Springfield (1-2), and Samantha Cavalier had 10 rebounds.
Lindsey Johnson was held to six points. She needs eight to reach 1,000 for her career.
Lisbon 88, Wellsville 47
WELLSVILLE -- Kim Davis scored 21 points and had five rebounds for the Blue Devils.
Caitlin Glenn added 16 points, while Erica Sims had 14 points and nine rebounds for Lisbon. Samantha Dailey had 10 points, Lauren Haifley scored nine, and Becky MacAleese had seven assists.
Western Reserve 61, Leetonia 38
LEETONIA -- Sara Kutsko scored 20 points to lead Western Reserve, which led 29-15 at halftime.
Saleena Niehaus finished with 19 points, eight rebounds and three steals for the Blue Devils (1-3).
Alison Summers scored 13 points for Leetonia, and Mallory Valintine added 10.
East Palestine 63, South Range 51
NORTH LIMA -- Ashley Ehrenberg led four East Palestine players in double figures, as the Bulldogs improved to 2-0.
Ehrenberg finished with 20 points. Samantha Dicello added 13 points, while Amanda Mesmer scored 11 and Emily Given had 10.
Heather Stacey finished with 20 points to lead South Range (1-3), which out-rebounded the Bulldogs, 30-24.
