XYOUNGSTOWN -- Marilyn Elizabeth Basista, Traymore Drive, and Alan Lee Murray Jr., Glenbrook Road, both of Boardman, were married at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at St. Christine Church.
The Revs. David Weikart and Gary Koerth presided, and a reception was held at The Georgetown in Boardman for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Basista of the Traymore Drive address and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan L. Murray, Park Harbour Drive, Boardman.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico, and live at the Glenbrook Road address.
The bride's strapless ballgown of white silk satin was adorned with beading and featured a satin sash.
Gray gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Tracy Kobzowiz, and the bridesmaids, Jennifer Bundschu, Aimee Smith, Cheryl Siegfried, Michelle Yates, Colleen Kennedy, Meagan Murray, Amy Odoguardi and Jenna Odoguardi. Flower girl was Jacklyn Odoguardi.
Best man was Ryan Murray, and groomsmen were Tom Basista, Kevin Brown, Will Sandy, Jayme Yates, Jeff Odoguardi, Kenny Tirpack and Eric Masternick. Ring bearer was Noah Basista.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in education at Kent State University and a master's in elementary education at Westminster College. She is a teacher of gifted and talented students with Poland Local Schools. The groom is vice president of Alan Murray Insurance Agency. He graduated from KSU with a bachelor's in business administration.
