Are items counterfeit? Police arrest Ohio man

CANFIELD -- Police said they found suspected counterfeit designer purses and CDs and a stolen license plate in a car driven by a Canton man who they arrested Wednesday.
Calvin Way III, 32, is charged with trademark counterfeiting, receiving stolen property, driving under suspension and speeding. An officer said he has seen Way selling merchandise at Midlothian Boulevard and Market Street in the past.
Police said Way was stopped for speeding about 4:40 a.m. Wednesday on East Main Street. He was arrested after police learned his driver's license had been suspended, reports state. Police said they then searched the car and found a license plate that had been reported stolen in Canton, as well as seven suspected counterfeit Louis Vuitton and Prada purses, nine suspected counterfeit CDs, four car stereos and 18 jerseys and shirts still in packages. Reports state that Way said he found the license plate in Akron, and that he had purchased the shirts and purses in New York City to give as gifts.
