XBOARDMAN -- A reception was held July 24 at St. Lucy Parish Center in honor of Brian F. Himes and his bride, the former Rachel Larson, who were united in marriage at 2 p.m. at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
The Rev. Robert Quaintance presided at the ceremony for the daughter of Park and Marjorie Larson, 227 Idlewood Road, Austintown, and the son of Leo and Jeanette Himes, 1702 Masefield Circle, Salisbury, Md.
After accepting congratulations, the newlyweds left for a trip to Aruba.
They live at 68 Maple Drive.
The bride's strapless, rum-pink, A-line gown featured a beaded bodice and an apron back with an organza inset train.
Black gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Christine LaRocca, and the bridesmaid, NicholeHimes, a sister of the groom. The junior bridesmaids, Alexandria LaRocca, the bride's niece, and Kelli Fox, a cousin of the groom, wore black and pink gowns.
The groom's father served as best man, and ushers were Richard LaRocca, the bride's brother-in-law, and Erik Larson, her brother. Ring bearer was the groom's son, Ethan Himes.
The bride earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in education at Youngstown State University and is a teacher with Joseph Badger Schools in Kinsman.
The groom, an accountant with Packer Thomas in Youngstown, earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at YSU.
