Three teenagers at sleepover face charges

STRUTHERS -- Police charged three teenage girls with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and curfew violation after they took a parent's car and drove to Youngstown's South Side, where the vehicle may have been used in an attempted burglary.
Police here said Kristina Reuss, 16, of Eighth Street, Ashley Wilkinson, 14, of Marion Street, and Tara Stewart, 16, of Fourth Street, took a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass from Reuss' parents house and drove to Youngstown late Thursday or early Friday.
Reuss' parents discovered the girls, who were having a sleepover, and their car missing about 6:45 a.m. Friday.
Wilkinson and Stewart returned to Wilkinson's home a half-hour later but refused to cooperate with police.
Reuss was found at Taft Elementary School in Youngstown later that afternoon.
Youngstown police are investigating an attempted robbery that witnesses say involved the car and its occupants, said Simone Ugolini, the juvenile officer in Struthers.
