SOAP SCOOP Daytime TV news
CHLOE COMES BACK: As both NBC soaps, "Days of Our Lives" and "Passions," went into their Olympic hiatus with stunning cliffhangers, it's become fact that Nadia Bjorlin is returning to "Days" as Chloe for more than just the cameo appearance she made last Friday. Chloe is expected to be around long enough to have a major effect on Brady, who still carries a torch for her despite Nicole's best efforts to woo him. Meanwhile, it appears likely that another major "Days" female character who has been missing in action may be returning to Salem soon, and if so, expect the repercussions to hit Bo and Hope, in particular.
WEDDINGS: Off screen, AMC actors have been busy tying and untying the knot. Last month Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) wed Bob Guiney of "The Bachelor," and Terri Ivens (Simone) got hitched to businessman Mark Osgood. Sadly, however, Eva LaRue (Maria) and John Callahan (Edmund), who have been wed for eight years, are now separated.
DEBUT: "Guiding Light" has cast John Driscoll as Henry Cooper, Buzz's son. He is set to debut Sept. 2. Miles Williams is now playing the role of R.J. Winslow.
ON VACATION: With an on-air divorce looming, Jackie will disappear for a few weeks on "Bold and Beautiful," as actress Lesley-Anne Down goes on vacation.
GUEST APPEARANCE: "Survivor: Australia" competitor Colby Donaldson guests on "Young and Restless" Aug. 25 as Jason, who is attracted to Brittany.
