Ring anniversary is celebrated during reception
XGIRARD -- Friends and relatives attended a dinner reception held July 18 at the Saxon Club Pavilion in Youngstown in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Ring, 1943 Villa Place, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Invitations for the festivity were issued by the couple's children and their spouses, Christine and Walter Hagman of Boardman; Cathie Jo Lolakis of Girard; Colleen and Jay Warnock of Austintown; Caren and Dr. Doug Beil of Tampa, Fla.; Terrence and Karen Ring of Safety Harbor, Fla.; Carolyn and David Weise of Kodiak, Alaska; and Eileen and Charles Anerino of Niles.
There are 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren in the family.
St. Rose Church was the setting Aug. 21, 1954, as Mr. Ring and the former Katherine Holland were united in marriage. The couple are members of St. Edward Church, Youngstown.
Mrs. Ring retired in 1995 from Minnesota Fabrics in Youngstown, where she was an assistant manager. She is a member of Saxon Club Branch 22, Saxon Retirees and the Status Club.
Mr. Ring served with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1950 to 1952 during the Korean War. He was employed as a plumber with the Plumbers Union, Local 396, prior to retiring in 1995. He is a member of VFW Post 419, the Army-Navy Club 422 in McKinley Heights and the American Legion.
