Sheward 50th is observed at restaurant

XAUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Isaac E. Sheward, 5288 Nashua Drive, were honored by family and friends during a dinner celebration held July 19 at Lucianno's Restaurant.
The event was hosted by the honoree's children and their spouses, Elaine and Emil Lilak of Brookfield; Joanne Kagle of Woodside, Calif.; Russell and Kim Sheward of Vienna; Helen and Joseph Velk of Raleigh, N.C.; and Louis and Sally Sheward of Half Moon Bay, Calif. There are seven grandchildren in the family.
The former Irene Luc and Mr. Sheward were married June 19, 1954, at St. Joseph the Provider Polish Church, Campbell.
Mrs. Sheward is retired from her position as school librarian with the Girard School System.
Mr. Sheward served as a staff sergeant in the armor division of the Seventh Infantry Division of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1991 from RMI Titanium in Niles, where he was a furnace operator.
Their anniversary celebration culminated with a vacation at Lake Placid Lodge in New York with their family.
